Happy New Year! There is so much to be thankful for. I'm grateful for my family and friends, and for fans like you, who still care and pay attention and follow our careers and support our work. Thanks for all of the words of encouragement about my pregnancy and the upcoming birth of our baby. Thanks for going to see We Are Marshall, and for watching the new episodes of According to Jim, which just started airing last night.

We had a great Christmas with the family in Tennessee, although Brad and I narrowly avoided the stomach flu that overtook three of our family members. Consider yourselves lucky if you also missed this nasty bug. We spent New Years in northern California, one of our favorite places. We bought Holler his first piece of clothing, a blue sweater (Brad swore it would ever happen, and then he wound up getting into it, springing also for a NY ball cap for our little pup!).
Holler is STYLIN' now.

The pregnancy is going well. Check out Pregnancy Magazine this month, if you haven't already. On the cover, I'm wearing a dress that was designed for me by my costume designer on According to Jim, Bernadene Morgan. She's very talented. We had to adjust it every week as we built the dress because I was changing and growing so much! This week I'm craving oranges, and finding it harder and harder to sleep. I'm still working for a couple of more weeks shooting According to Jim, and then Brad and I plan to go back to Nashville to have the baby there.

MY TIPS FOR PREGNANCY:
BODY PILLOW: A key to getting great sleep. I love the ones that wrap around and twist like pretzels so you can manipulate them as you need them and as your body changes.
PAPAYA ENZYMES: A key to preventing heartburn. Pop a few after each meal. I also have noticed a little extra daily magnesium works really well, as well as digestive enzymes taken with the first bite of every big meal. Ask your doctor about it.
SOAP IN THE BED: Weird, I know, but someone told me putting a bar of soap in the bed would help stop leg cramps and I've noticed some nights that it actually does.

I read a great book over the holidays, The Summer Guest, by Justin Cronin. It's a quick read, nicely written, and sweet. I'm also listening to Eat, Pray, Love, by Elizabeth Gilbert, on cd in my car and I love it. I'm trying to cram in all the books I can now, because I know in a couple of months I won't have the time or the energy!

I also want to explain why I'm canceling my email address. It's just too hard to keep up with emails, and I know my life is about to get even crazier! I want to be fair to people who take the time to write in, and if I don't have time to even read the emails, I don't want their efforts to be in vain. Thanks for understanding. As always, if you'd like to request a picture, please send a SASE to the new
address: c/o Michelle Bega, Rogers and Cowan 8687 Melrose Ave. 7th Floor LA, CA 90069. We'll get you a picture as soon as we can.

I hope you all have a blessed and peaceful new year. I'll keep updating my journal whenever I have the chance.

Lots of love,

Kimberly
